FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention suggests placing from the well mouth up to submersible pump or productive bed armoured multiconductor cable with pressure sensors equdistanced from each other along the well vertical component. Pressure data from theses sensors is transmitted continuously to the station controller controlling the well and interpreted as per the following procedure: pressure straight-line correlation coefficient is defined against the two first sensors from vertical depth of the well. Then data of the third and next sensor are added to this base until correlation coefficient drops down. At the final stage of calculations the controller finds outs equation of pressure dependence on vertical depth of the well for two different phases - gaseous and liquid. Liquid level is defined for the well as a crossing point of the two obtained straight-line dependencies.
EFFECT: improved accuracy for determination dynamic or static liquid level in oil-producing and water-supply wells.
