FIELD: metallurgy industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of manufacturing the ignition means by heating the paraffin sample in a water bath to a temperature exceeding its melting temperature by 15-25°C, adding into the hotmelt of paraffin with stirring the sample of dry sawdust in a ratio, wt % sawdust/paraffin equal to 1/(9-10), after which the liquid mixture is poured into a casting mould with a wick preliminarily inserted in it, impregnated with paraffin, cooled to solidification of the mixture, the casting of the fuel body is released from the mould, and on the side surface of the fuel body the closed paper strip is stuck.
EFFECT: simplification of the manufacturing technology of the ignition means, reduction of its cost and increase in the specific heat of combustion of the fuel body of the ignition means.
