FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to protect covering of bridges, ramps and other similar structures located close to water from icing in the cold season and softening in the warm season. The apparatus comprises a heat exchanger, submerged in the reservoir under the structure below the lowest annual water level of the reservoir, antifreeze circulation system and tubular register in the covering. The apparatus is equipped with a heat pump, including evaporator, whose pipe system is connected to the heat exchanger submerged into the reservoir, a condenser, whose pipe system is connected to the tubular register, a compressor and a throttle valve. The working agent of the heat pump is a refrigerant; the coolant circulating in the tubular register in the covering is water. The register is provided with a tubular insulating layer below. A wind plant may serve as a source of electrical energy for the compressor.
EFFECT: improvement of efficiency of the device to protect covering of the structure.
