FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment of diagnostics of oil-filled equipment. The method to control quality of paper insulation of a transformer consists in transfer with the help of optic-fibre cables of reflected radiation from transformer insulation to determine coefficient of reflection R650-655 on wavelengths 650-655 nm and calculation of polymerisation extent (PE). PE is assessed as applicable to paper insulation of the transformer without disconnection of the transformer, using non-destructive control methods, and PE is calculated by means of determination of coefficients of reflection of the radiation R650-655 and their dependencies on their PE.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expanded range of measured values and increased accuracy of measurement.
