FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical technology, namely to means for monitoring or measuring skin condition by detecting fluctuations in the concentration of water and porphyrins present in it. System for automatic monitoring of water content in a human skin area contains a smartphone that includes a processor and a white light source on the case of the smartphone to probe the skin area, an image detector, made in the form of a matrix of photosensitive elements, a screen, and smart head put on the smartphone, which includes the photometric module for determining the reflection coefficients, containing at least two radiation sources, which are near infrared (NIR) LEDs, emitting radiation at at least two different wavelengths to probe the surface of the human skin area of interest, wherein at least one light source has a central wavelength that corresponds to a maximum of the spectral absorption of water, at least one near infrared detector for the at least two different wavelengths, receiving radiation reflected and scattered from the human skin area, and a processor control unit for light source excitation. Smartphone's processor is capable of processing captured images by forming two image arrays, equalizing the sizes of received arrays, cleaning images from noise using software filters, normalizing array elements to the brightness values of white, as a result of which arrays are formed, each element of which is the reflection coefficient of the object, the determination of the optical density of water in the human skin area, using reflection data in the near infrared range to determine the concentration of water in the skin area by the ratio of the optical density at various wavelengths of the near infrared range, determination of water concentration in the skin area in dynamics by determining the slope of the temporal signal of optical density, the determination of the characteristic coefficients of water content for the human skin area, which are the difference images, and displaying the processed data on the smartphone screen as the characteristic coefficients of water content of the human skin area or as an image of the user's face with a two-dimensional (2D) water distribution map superimposed on it as the main light absorber in the skin in the infrared (IR) range. System is provided with a detection protection unit installed on the intellectual head on the side of the radiation sources with the possibility of preventing direct contact of said radiation sources, detectors near infrared and images with the human skin area. Automatic control method for water content is carried out using the system.
EFFECT: use of inventions makes it easier to test the effectiveness of skin care and cosmetic procedures, photo-age and skin moisture.
