FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly of a fission nuclear reactor has a possibility of controlled removal of volatile products of nuclear fission and heat released by a combustion wave in a nuclear reactor. A fuel assembly includes a casing that can contain porous mass of nuclear fuel with a nuclear fission volatile product. A fluid medium control subassembly is connected to the casing and can control a removal process of at least some part of nuclear fission volatile products from porous mass of nuclear fuel. Besides, the fluid medium control subassembly has a possibility of circulation of the fluid medium releasing the heat through porous mass of nuclear fuel for removal of the heat produced by nuclear fuel mass.
EFFECT: providing deep burnout of fuel and sustained campaign.
