SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of forestry and can be used in the arrangement of protection zones of linear structures and clearing the area from unwanted trees and shrubs. The method comprises forming a protection zone by periodic continuous mechanical removal of trees and shrubs in it. In the period of each removal of trees and shrubs simultaneously with the removal of trees and shrubs, the treatment of remaining stumps with arboricides is carried out. Between the periods of mechanical removal of trees and shrubs the restored shoots are exposed by retardants.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the consumption of time, energy, the required amount of machines and manpower to maintain the protected zone of linear structures in a condition free from trees and shrubs.
