FIELD: forestry, in particular, forming and caring of overhead electric power line protection zones.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming clearance by cutting out shrub and forest cover and treating with herbicides; dividing width of clearance into three zones - central zone and two outer zones; providing clear cutting of growing stock in central zone; providing cutting in outer zones, with undergrowth of retarded and moderate growth kinds of wood being kept; in case sites of outer zones are free from undergrowth, providing regeneration thereof. Central zone of clearance is treated with herbicides for continuous forest destruction while outer zones of clearance are selectively treated with herbicides so as to destroy only fast and intensive growth kinds of forest. When retarded and moderate growth forest in outer zones of clearance reaches height troublesome for safe operation of overhead power lines, said forest is subjected to cutting.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of herbicides and area to be treated, and decreased area of dereserved forest land.
