FIELD: physics, computer technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the data recognition, namely to recognition of human face in digital images, and can be used in computer vision systems for restriction of access to services, resources and objects, protected from unauthorized persons. The method of identification of graphical images of human faces includes obtaining the reference image of the person, selection in this image of key points, matching of the reference image with the analysed one, judging on the identity of the reference image and analysed one, and in the reference image the domain field is selected as square with the centre in the key point and rank field with maximum similarity with domain field, the coefficient of similarity of domain and rank fields is determined, the analysed image is compared with the reference one, selecting in the analysed image of areas corresponding to domain and rank fields of the reference image, and the coefficient of similarity of these fields is determined, on the basis of the analysis of coefficients of similarity of domain and rank fields of the analysed and reference images the judgement on identity of the images is performed.

EFFECT: increase of rate of recognition of human faces at high accuracy of recognition.
