SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to aids for local heating of a target area of an object. An assembly for heating a magnetic material provided in the central region of a sphere within the coverage comprises a chooser for generating a magnetic selection field structured within the magnetic intensity space so that to form the first sub-area having a low magnetic intensity and the second sub-area having a higher magnetic intensity within the magnetic intensity space, an actuator for changing a position of the two sub-areas within the magnetic intensity space so that to change the magnetisation of the magnetic material locally, and a control unit for changing a position within the first sub-area along a sequence of locations, insomuch as and at such a frequency that the central region of the sphere heats up. A method for heating the magnetic material consists in using the assembly for the magnetic field generation.

EFFECT: using the invention enables improving the heating environment and providing more efficient heating in the central region.
