FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: power transformer comprises active part 1 consisting of magnet core 2 with windings 3. At the cover of the power transformer 4 there are inputs 5 and 6 of high and low voltage. The windings are made of hollow conductors 8 filled with ferrofluid 9 and placed inside insulating jackets 10; ferrofluid 9 is poured as well between insulating jackets 10 and conductors 8.
EFFECT: increasing rigidity of windings at short-circuiting thus improving electrodynamic stability of the transformer.
