SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for determining the optimum maintenance period of an article. The apparatus comprises a memory unit, a timer, four subtractors, six divider units, two magnitude determination units, three adders, two comparators, two switches, two memory elements, four multipliers, a square-rooting unit, an integer part selection unit and a down counter.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the apparatus owing to determination of the next scheduled maintenance period based on a given readiness factor of the article.
