SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering, in particular to control devices and can be used in scientific research and engineering, where it is necessary to determine time of onset of gradual failure, determining the optimum period of maintenance and the next period of scheduled maintenance of the article and the complete availability factor of the article, taking into account gradual and sudden failures. Device comprises a memory unit, a timer, four subtractors, eight divider units, two absolute value determining units, four adders, two comparators, two switches, three memory elements, four multipliers, a square-rooting unit, an integer part selection unit, a subtracting counter, an additive-subtracting unit. Output of the eighth divider unit is connected to the input of the summing-subtracting unit, the input of which is connected to the output of the third memory element, the inputs of which are connected to the output of the sixth divider and to the output of the second comparator, respectively.

EFFECT: wider field of use of the device by determining the complete availability of the product taking into account gradual and sudden failures.
