FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of experimental methods to investigate mechanical stresses and deformations in parts of machines and elements of structures and may be used to determine plastic deformations of a product in machine building, aircraft building and other industries. The method is realised in the following manner. A reference grid from a system of crossing circumferences of various diameter is applied on the surface of a controlled object by a photo method, which is formed on a personal computer and printed on a laser printer with high resolution, by photography its image is produced, the controlled object is deformed, the deformed grid is photographed, the image of the reference grid and the copy of the deformed grid are compared, and values of deformations on the surface of the controlled object are determined.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of deformations measurement.
