FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of metals by pressure and can be used to estimate coefficient of friction during plastic deformation of sheet materials in mechanical engineering, automotive, aircraft building and other industries. Summary of invention: sample in form of plate of test sheet material with previously plotted grid is placed on mirror of slot matrix and clamped with clamp. Then, press force is applied to cylindrical punch and plastic is deformed. By method of coordinate grids, parameters of deformed state are established and average friction coefficient of materials is determined by formula.
EFFECT: technical result: increasing accuracy and reliability of method of estimation of friction coefficient of materials.
