FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: in the method to upgrade a dogleg stair of a building by arrangement of small gaps in inner plan between flights of stairs and between rails of their fences, additionally they perform technical inspection of the stair, as well as checking calculations for strength and deformations with account of aesthetic-psychological requirements; on the face surface of steps of a flight of stairs they install steel pads on an elastic lining that close the width of the gap between flights of stairs in inner plan; then they manufacture support and/or limiting elements of flight fencing, and installing them near additional support points, they create conditions for free installation of a sleeve line along the height of the building stair.

EFFECT: development of the possibility to design, reconstruct, repair or newly make railings of flights of stairs with improved operational characteristics by bearing capacity, stiffness, reduced instability, increasing safety of people in case of their forced evacuation from buildings, and also development of conditions for free installation of a sleeve line in dogleg stairs of buildings.
