SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition of nonaqueous electrolyte, which includes background electrolyte, organic solvent; and chemical compound (a1), represented by general formula (1): with O in formula (1) representing oxygen, Y and Z independently on each other representing one type of element, selected from the group 14 of extended variant of Periodic table, i.e. one type of element, selected from the group, consisting of hydrogen (C), silicon (Si), germanium (Ge) and tin (Sn), R1 and R2 independently on each other represent at least one type of group, selected from the group, consisting of monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon groups, monovalent alicyclic hydrocarbon groups and monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon groups, and at least any one represents the group with at least one type of halogen, selected from the group, consisting of fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br) and iodine (I), as constituting element. Content of compound (a1) constitutes not less than 0.01 of weight part and not less than 10 weight parts relative to 100 weight parts of the total content of background electrolyte and organic solvent. Invention also relates to storage battery with nonaqueous electrolyte.
EFFECT: claimed composition possesses excellent high temperature stability.
