FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: damping unit of fast-rotating vertical rotor system includes a housing in the form of reservoir filled with damping fluid. In reservoir there located are the main and additional dampers. The main damper contains moving element in the form of cylinder with a bearing for flexible rotor support and centring springs in upper part. Moving element hinged-rests on housing. The additional damper contains inner damping cylinder of stepped form and outer damping cylinder interconnected by flexible element in the form of flat metallic membrane. The upper part of inner damping cylinder is provided with correcting ring embracing semi-axis of flexible support with a gap.
EFFECT: improving efficiency of rotor oscillations damping at large amplitudes of its movements and strong interactions, simplifying design and improving damper reliability.
