SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, electric drives and detection means, and can be used as an element for transmitting a unit of colour information of bitmap images. The electric drive comprises a multi-tooth rotor, the outer surface of which simultaneously acts as an element for displaying the colour information corresponding to the current rotor position, a single-phase bipolar multi-tooth stator. A rotor fixing mechanism is formed by rows of teeth arranged coaxially at given radial distances from the axis, with angular arrangement of the teeth which corresponds to the drive step, which define the difference in moments of fixation in at least one of the steps, and therefore the selectivity of the drive to the control action. The edges of the teeth are located in axial planes, the position of which, relative to the planes of symmetry of teeth of the electromagnetic system, provide a two-stroke mode of executing the step and the same direction of rotation of the rotor in each stroke.

EFFECT: high accuracy of display, high speed of operation, time and climatic stability and noise-immunity, as well as ensuring bitmap cleaning when displaying colour multilevel bitmap information.
