METHOD FOR LAPAROSCOPIC EXTERIORISATION OF TRANSVERSE COLOSTOMA IN RECTAL CANCER Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: four trocars are inserted into the abdominal cavity after carbon dioxide insufflation. The first trocar is inserted along the mid-line in the supraumbilical region. Two working trocars are inserted into the iliac and right mesogastric region. The main stage of the rectal cancer operation follows. An enteroenteroanastomosis is formed. A second stage of the operation follows. A transverse colon is mobilised. The intestine is brought out through an incision into the mesogastric region onto the anterior abdominal wall. A tube is delivered under the transverse colon loop and fixed to the anterior abdominal wall with the lumen left unexposed. After the operation, the intestine is immersed into the abdominal cavity on a silicone tube with packing the wound loosely with the levomekol tissues. If observing no inflammation signs, the intestine is immersed into the abdominal cavity. The wound is closed in layers.

EFFECT: method enables creating the stoma at any moment, reducing a risk of the anastomosis inconsistency, limiting the intestinal passage and unloading the anastomosis area, immersing the intestine into the abdominal cavity with no recurrent operation required.
