FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a food composition, in particular, one intended for growing children and/or babies being ablactated. The composition contains one or several sources of protein, one or several sources of available carbohydrates, one or several sources of lipids, one or several probiotic microorganisms and prebiotics. At least one or several sources of lipids contain(s) added docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) provided in the form of phospholipids containing DHA. The nutritional composition contains at least 1 g of linolenic acid (LA) and at least 100 mg of α-linolenic acid (ALA) per 100 g of the dry weight of the nutritional composition.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve cognitive indices, in particular, education and memory with children aged 1 - 7 years.
