SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of construction materials, namely, for drying of bulk materials - sand, ash, slag, coal, limestone, silica clay rocks, sawdust, cooking gypsum, carbonic calcium gypsum, etc. The drying machine for contact drying bulk materials consists of a thermally insulated housing, a heat exchanger, a heating system, agitators. The housing consists of three oblique steps placed in different directions at different angles inside which the two-tiered heat exchangers with five cavities are mounted, of which two (II and IV) are through on all three steps and filled with bulk material (such as ash), and three (I, III and V) are the basis of the three heat exchangers mounted in three steps, on which the flue gases (about 600°C) are fed from the furnace according to the following scheme: in I and III cavities of heat exchangers of the upper and lower steps and in III and V cavities of the middle step of the housing of the machine, and in exhaust flue gases through the cavities V of the upper and lower steps and through the cavity I of the middle step are evacuated using end exhaust fan, and mixing and movement of the material (ash) on II and IV cavities is carried out with a group of four-blade four-tiered agitators mounted perpendicular to the surface of the housing.

EFFECT: simplification of the design, exclusion of the need of use of dust cleaning system, reduction of metal consumption, reduction of fuel-energy consumption to the drying process by its intensification and reduction of the duration; increase the unit capacity.
