FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to screening rocks and construction materials, crushing and sorting jobs, and screen sizing of construction materials. Screen comprises screening surface, drive, loader and unloader. Screening surface is composed by sections consisting of at least two equal subsections composed of even number (at least four) of identical isosceles triangles connected over subsection perimeter with four identical equilateral triangles to make small and large end holes shaped to polygons. Two subsections are connected to section by sides of end large holes. Said sections are interconnected over drum length by the sides of small end holes to make multistart helical screening surface with unidirectional zigzag helical lines. Loading and unloading devices are composed of sleeves with flange discs secured at outer side, flange having the holes for rigid attachment of flange discs rigidly secured on both sides of screening surface at end holes. Curvilinear screws inserts are attached to sleeve inner surface at angle α, equal to inclination of helical lines to sleeve rotational axis and to sleeve lengthwise generators. Said inserts are composed of curvilinear plates coiled in radius and length of helical sleeves at pitch equal to that of screening surface helical lines. Helical insert length is twice as large as sleeve length in loading device. Said inserts extend beyond sleeve ends to grip screened materials from loading and to transfer them into screening surface. Helical inserts in unloading device extend beyond sleeves solely towards screening surface and there inside to grip screened materials from loading and to transfer them into unloading device sleeve. Besides, they extend beyond sleeves to transform waterfall mode of material motion to calm laminar mode.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of screening and output.
