FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical equipment and may be used to measure oxygen content and moisture of gases. The method to measure oxygen content and moisture of gas. An electrochemical cell with a cavity formed by two discs from oxygen-conducting solid electrolyte is placed into a flow of analysed gas, on the opposite surfaces of discs there is a pair of electrodes, DC voltage is applied to electrodes of discs. At voltage of 500-700 mV they pump free oxygen available in the inner cavity of the cell, and oxygen content is determined by the value of the limit current corresponding to the content of free oxygen in the analysed gas. In case of further increase of voltage to 1300-1500 mV bound oxygen is pumped from the cell cavity, and by the value of limit current corresponding to the total content of free oxygen in the analysed gas and bound oxygen produced as a result of electrolysis of water vapours, they determine moisture of analysed gas.

EFFECT: expanded arsenal of facilities to measure moisture of analysed gas and possibility to additionally determine oxygen content in it, as well as higher reliability of the method.
