FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an analytical technique, and in particular to a generator creating and maintaining of set humidity or drying of gases. The generator comprises a gas humidity thermostat placed in the working chamber, an oxygen-containing and a proton-conducting solid electrolytes made in the form of tubes tightly connected to each other with inner and outer porous electrodes, the tubes are closed with airtight lids so that the lid of the proton-conducting tube is made as capable of supplying gas, the lid of the oxygen-containing one - as capable of exit of moist or dry gas. Thus the tube inner electrodes are interconnected directly, and the outer ones and connected to the external DC power source.
EFFECT: simplifying the process of generation of gas humidity by using a relatively simple electrochemical cell, which excludes the use of complex and bulky mechanical equipment, technological preparation of gases and simplifying gas circuit of the process.
