FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in treating the patients suffering recurrent postoperative ventral hernias following a hernioplasty with using a synthetic prosthetic implant. That is followed by a herniotomy, and a hernia sac is opened, its content is inspected; strands of a greater omentum are resected; the hernia sac is dissected away. Anterior leaves of rectus sheaths are incised around the periphery of the new hernia orifice and the previous prosthetic hernioplasty; medial flaps comprising a complex of aponeurosis-prosthetic implant-connective tissue are sutured together; the synthetic plastic implant is sutured in between the lateral implants in the subgaleal direction; a mobility of the two layers of the prosthetic implant between each other is reduced by the additional fixation of the latter with prolene sutured; the abdominal cavity is closed with an uninterrupted suture tightly.

EFFECT: method enables maintaining all the points of the prosthetic implant from the previous hernioplasty notwithstanding the method thereof, and reinforcing the new, and existing hernia orifices additionally.
