SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises m n-bit multi-input signature analysers (SA rows), inputs of which are connected to all mn outputs of single-output components of the inspected object, n m-bit multi-input signature analysers (SA columns), inputs of which are connected to inputs of SA rows such that the j-th inputs (j=1,…, n) of all m SA rows are connected to all m inputs of the j-th SA columns.
EFFECT: improved localisation of faults.
