SUBSTANCE: method of transfer medium selection in communication infrastructure includes the following stages: they use at least one routing rule (PBR1, PBR2, PBR3) in order to select a medium (310) for transfer of the specified packet (308) through it; if neither routing rule (PBR1, PBR2, PBR3) is applied to the specified packet, they select a medium (310) for transfer of the specified packet (308) with the help of a routing table (309) on the basis of the value of cost of the specified transfer medium; the specified routing table (309) is updated with the help of the routing protocol (305, 306) and the function (307) of calculation of cost of routing of each medium (301, 302, 303); they apply at least one rule (311) of control of quality of service of the specified packet (308) by means of filtration (312).
EFFECT: automatic selection of communication resources and provision of compatibility with network architectures based on an IP communication protocol.
