SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and specifically to techniques for displaying multiple row and column header areas. Disclosed is a computer-implemented method of displaying a summary table having a plurality of adjacent header areas. The method includes a step of receiving a selection of one or more data fields associated with a first row header area. Further, the method includes receiving a selection of one or more data fields associated with a second row header area, said selection comprising at least one data field different from the selection of the one or more data fields associated with the first row header area. The method also includes reading data from a data source comprising values for the one or more data fields associated with the first row header area and the one or more data fields associated with the second row header area.
EFFECT: automated set up of a data summary table in interactive mode, which includes combined manipulation of different data presentations.
