FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: goal of this invention is to overcome in economically efficient way a number of draw backs such as stroboscopic effect of alternating current light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and problems of heat dissipation when a variety of LEDs is integrated. The white light-emitting diode comprises a LED chip and light-emitting material capable of light emission at excitation by the LED chip. Emission duration of the light-emitting material varies within the range of 1 - 100ms. The LED chip comprises only one p-n-transition. The light emitted by the LED chip is mixed up with the light emitted by the light-emitting material thus obtaining white light. The white LED element is actuated by alternating current with frequency not exceeding 100 Hz. According to this invention in the white LED device a chip with one p-n-transition is used, not an integrated chip of alternating current, with a variety of LEDs.
