PHOSPHOR RADIATING YELLOW-ORANGE LIGHT AND METHOD OF ITS PREPARATION AND APPLICATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC C09K11/71 C09K11/78 C09K11/81 F21S13/00 F21Y115/10

Abstract RU 2657905 C1

FIELD: technological processes; lighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in light-emitting diodes. Phosphor emitting yellow-orange light has the general formula Sr9-a-b-xMaMg1.5+b(PO4)7:xEu2+, where M is Ca and/or Ba; 0.001≤x≤0.9; 0≤a≤1.0; 0≤b≤2.3. Size of the phosphor particles is 500–600 mesh. To prepare this phosphor, first mix the Sr-containing compound, M-containing compound, Mg-containing compound, P-containing compound and Eu-containing compound in a molar ratio (4.8–8.999):(0–1.0):(1.5–3.8):7:(0.001–0.9) respectively. Resulting mixture is sintered at 800–1,500 °C for 2–9 hours in a reducing atmosphere containing carbon monoxide, H2 or gas mixture N2-H2. Carbonate and/or strontium oxide is used as Sr-containing compound; carbonate and/or oxide of the corresponding metal is used as the M-containing compound; europium oxide and/or oxalate is used as the Eu-containing compound; oxide, carbonate or basic magnesium carbonate is used as the Mg-containing compound; primary and/or secondary ammonium hydrogen phosphate is used as the P-containing compound. Resulting phosphor has stable chemical properties, is not harmful to the environment, is effectively excited by light with a wavelength of 250–500 nm and is characterized by a broad emission peak at 470–850 nm with main peaks at 523 nm and 620 nm.

EFFECT: method for obtaining the phosphor is simple and suitable for industrial production.
