FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. The high pressure pump for the fuel injection system of internal combustion engine with at least one plunger pair with a plunger (1), driven by the cam (2) or by the power shaft eccentric into reciprocating motion and resting through the thrusting element (3) of the thruster and support roller (4) on the cam (2) or the power shaft eccentric is offered, for this purpose the support shoe (5) is provisioned which has the base cylindrical recess (6) for partial arranging and enclosing of the support roller (4) in the thrusting element (3) of the thruster. According to the invention in the base cylindrical recess (6) of the support shoe (5) forms with its end surface (8) longitudinal edges (7), which for arranging of the coverage (9), passing from the recess (6) of the support shoe outside their limits, are made rounded or with a bevel.
EFFECT: improvement of contact of the plunger (1) and the cam (2) or the power shaft eccentric, and also in decrease of the support roller (4) and the thruster or an additional thrusting element, inserted into it (3).
