SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the power supply system and the method of power supply from the first or the second network source of alternating current, which deliver the first and the second alternating voltage values different from each other. The power supply system comprises the first and second connecting devices connect the converter circuit to the first or second network source of alternating current respectively. The second connecting device comprises the transformation circuit in order to convert the second alternating voltage so that it leads to the same output voltage at the converter circuit as the first alternating voltage. In the specific example the converter circuit may comprise a rectifier with voltage doubling function, and the second connecting device may comprise a rectifier while the first connecting device is just a cable.
EFFECT: provision of the device for load adaptation to voltage supplied by different electrical networks.
