FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: radial bearing assembly includes hollow body (1), in a cavity of which the sleeve (2), made from segments, and the journal (3), placed with a possibility of rotating in a sleeve cavity (2) is placed. The sleeve segments (2) are made from nonmagnetic material as chute-like extended elements of identical angular length and are separated from each other by wedges (4), made as T-shaped rods. On the surface of a chute of each segment facing towards the journal (3), made from a nonmagnetic material, the poles (5), made as bars from material with high magnetic penetrability are fixed, between which the magnetic bars (6), made from constant magnets with tangential magnetising are placed. The bars (6) have the trapezoidal cross-section shape, the wide base of which faces towards the segment chute surface, and the nonmagnetic wedge (7), made as a bar from nonmagnetic material contacts with a narrow base of each magnetic rod (6). The external surface formed by wedges (7) and poles (5), facing towards the journal (3), is made cylindrical with formation of working gap (8) with the surface of journal (3). In the volume of segments the system of interconnected channels (11, 12), connected with the branch pipes (13) for intake of compressed air is made. The output holes of the system of channels (11, 12) are connected with the working gap (8) through radial feeding holes passing through the segments and poles (5).

EFFECT: ensuring of high carrying capacity of radial bearing assembly in an operating mode at minimising of friction losses, reliable turbine machine starting, improvement of rotor stability to half-speed vortex and minimising of deformation of clearance in gas static bearing at high boost pressures.
