SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and specifically to methods of forming visual objects. Disclosed is a method of performing visualisation through a data visualisation platform. The method includes steps of carrying out a visualisation task and creating a plurality of geometry vectors. The method also includes receiving a request to display the visualisation and performing iteration on the plurality of geometry vectors. Further, the method includes skipping at least one of a first vector from the plurality of geometric records according to a geometry skipping algorithm comprising at least one of the following criteria: detecting a zero-length line, the total number of the plurality of geometry vectors, the total number of data points, the display size, data type and visualisation type.
EFFECT: high performance of visualising data owing to execution of a geometry skipping algorithm in accordance with predefined criteria.
