FIELD: testing technology.

SUBSTANCE: unit comprises a base on which a horizontal platform is placed, provided with a rotary drive around the vertical axis with the ability to generate efforts pressing the samples of ice to abraded sample radially relative to the axis of rotation of the platform. The sample of the abraded material is made in the form of a cylinder. The platform is provided with means of rigid fixing of the sample. The stand of the unit is provided with vertical racks, the longitudinal axes of which lie in one plane with the axis of rotation of the platform. The means of retaining the ice samples are made in the form of horizontal guides passed through the vertical racks, made with the ability of longitudinal displacement of ice samples in them. In parallel with the guides over them in height providing the possibility of placing the sample of the abraded material on the platform in the vertical racks the through holes are made, through which a stem is passed, which ends are provided with vertical rods. On one of the vertical rods a power cylinder is attached with the ability of reciprocating movement of its stem along the longitudinal axis of the first sample of ice and the rest into it. The second vertical rod is provided with a stem with the footstep at the end, which rests on the end of the second sample of ice.

EFFECT: ensuring a stable contact area of the friction materials, compactability and universality of the unit, which enable to use it with rotational and translational motion of ice.
