FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: structure of a rig for ice attrition test of specimen material includes a base, on which a horizontal platform is arranged, which has a possibility of movement of an ice specimen relative to the specimen of abraded material fixed in a retaining mechanism and a mechanism for holding them down to each other. Additionally, the mechanism includes a knife having a possibility of shaping the ice specimen surface contacting the abraded specimen. The knife includes a vertical guide, through which with a possibility of back and forth movement a stock is passed, on the end of which a cutting plate is fixed, the cutting edge of which facing to the ice specimen has a U-shape. The stock is provided with a projection, on which a rod is fixed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the stock; the lower end of the above rod is hinged to a skid. The rod is located at some distance from the stock relative to specimen movement direction, with that, the cutting plate has a possibility of position adjustment of its edge relative to the support surface of the skid. The upper end of the stock has a possibility of arrangement of an additional load on it.
EFFECT: providing stable contact surface area of friction materials and increasing carrying capacity of ice due to its being cut with a knife on both sides.
