FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: unit comprises a rotary drive of an annular ice sample and means for retaining the samples of the abraded material, made with the ability to be pressed to the cylindrical surface of the ice sample. The samples of the abraded material is imparted with a cylindrical shape, at that each of them is provided with a separate rotary drive, with the axis of rotation parallel to the axis of rotation of the ice sample. Each separate rotary drive of the sample of the abraded material is mounted on a separate power cylinder which housing is rigidly fixed in space. The power cylinders are provided with means of controlling the clamping force.
EFFECT: increase in reliability of the test by simulating not only sliding friction but also rolling friction.
