FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Proposed process of control over lathe with electromagnetic clutches comprises setting of theoretical surface profile of machined part as lengths of lines. Note here that control pulses of follow-up feed uc(FF) at constant leading feed control voltage uc(LF)=const to said clutches are generated. First accelerating pulse is generated with duration commensurable with electromagnetic clutch time constant after which generated are duration control pulses τp at constant pulse repetition rate fPWM=1/TPWM, where TPWM is the control pulse generation interval. Note here that pulse rate is selected proceeding from current continuity clutch winding while current duration is selected depending on the angle of inclination of theoretical profile traces section of machined part.
EFFECT: higher surface quality and precision.
