FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: abrasive powder of corundum is mixed with boron carbide powder in amount of 10-20% of abrasive powder bulk with grain size of 30-50% of that of abrasive powder. Produced abrasive charge is filled in the mould and subjected to heat treatment at 600-750°C for 45-80 min at simultaneous vibration of the charge with amplitude of 0.5-1.5 mm. Abrasive charge is formed at static stress and dynamic load of shock wave with subsequent heat treatment.
EFFECT: higher quality of abrasive tool owing to uniform distribution of abrasive grains.
