FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in making abrasive tool primarily for finishing. Method includes shaping abrasive powder of silicon carbide in static loading and dynamic loading with shock wave with subsequent thermal treatment. Prior to shaping to abrasive powder of silicon carbide powder is added boron carbide in amount of 25-35 % of weight of abrasive powder and preliminary thermal treatment is carried out at temperature 2,100-2,200 K for 15-30 minutes.
EFFECT: higher quality of abrasive tool due to increased wear resistance when processing solid materials.
