SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for operation of a washing machine that contains a washing chamber intended for accommodation of objects to be cleaned and having in its lower part a tray for collection of water in the process of the washing machine operation, a water inlet hole connected to the water tank that is preferably integrated into the washing machine and preferably detachable, a pump ensuring circulation of water through the washing chamber and a control unit for regulation of the washing process being carried out by the washing machine. According to the first version of this invention implementation, pertaining to the operation method, water is supplied into the tray from the tank due to the effect of hydrostatic pressure inside the tank; pressure in the tray or near the tray is measured; based on the pressure measurement results, water flow rate is controlled with the tray filling level determined; at least one parameter and/or stage of the washing process is regulated and/or indication signals are given to the washing machine user.
