FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer composition of foam extinguishing agent. Described is compostion of foam extinguishing agent, which contains 15-35 wt % of acrylate polymer, containing acrylate monomers of the following general formula: where R represents hydrogen, or linear or branched alkyl group, containing approximately from 1 to 18 carbon atoms and, optionally, at least, one hydroxyl group; 1-20 mol % of monomer of (meth)acrylic acid in suitable diluent, 30-70 wt % of organic carrier, where organic carrier represents polypropyleneglycol; 3-10 wt % of additive; and 5-25 wt % of surface-active substance. Described is composition of foam-extinguishing agent, containing 15-35 wt % of methacrylate polymer, which contains methacrylate monomers of the following general formula: where R represents hydrogen, or linear or branched alkyl group, containing approximately from 1 to 18 carbon atoms and, optionally, at least, one hydroxyl group; 1-20 mol % of monomer of (meth)acrylic acid in suitable diluent, 30-70 wt % of organic carrier, where organic carrier represents polypropyleneglycol; 3-10 wt % of additive; and 5-25 wt % of surface-active substance. Also described is method of reducing or preventing foam generation, including addition of said compositions of foam extinguishing agent before, during or after generation of said foam. Method of obtaining said compositions of foam-generating agent is also described.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of foam extinguishing.
