FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical devices for monitoring the position/orientation of a helmet and particularly to such devices, wherein the helmet has neither transmitters nor receivers and only has passive optical components, detection of which is provided by fixed optoelectronic means which are external with respect to the helmet. An optical component for an optical device for monitoring the position/orientation of a helmet according to the invention comprises a special optical angle reflector. The reflector comprises a prism in the form of a trihedron with three right angles, wherein each of the three flat surfaces of the trihedron comprises a plate with flat and parallel faces, wherein the first face coincides with the flat surface on which it is located, wherein the boundary surface between said first face and said surface has a semi-reflecting treatment.

EFFECT: high accuracy of monitoring the position/orientation of a helmet with different illumination.
