SUBSTANCE: device relates to the field of optical instruments and can be used as a base for optical devices for generating a dynamic image of augmented reality. Device uses an optical element - a holographic optical waveguide, which is a two-dimensional optical waveguide with a holographic optical element (lens) deposited on the surface. Image is formed by modulation of the displayed beam by an array of a liquid crystal matrix. Formed image is focused into the centre of the pupil of the eye and then projected on the back side of the eye retina of the observer.

EFFECT: invention provides compactness of form factor and high technical parameters (field of view, resolution, contrast, multi-colour, multiple viewing).
