FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rubber composition, which does not contain zinc or contains less than 0.5 wt.p. of zinc, which can be used for the production of tyres. The rubber composition contains one diene elastomer; one cross-linking sulphur-based system; one inorganic filling agent as a reinforcing filling agent; one blocked mercaptosilane of the general formula (HO)3-nR1 n-Si-Z-S-C(=O)-A, where each of R1, which can be similar or different, represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group, selected from alkyls, linear or branched, cycloalkyls or aryls, containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; A represents hydrogen or a monovalent hydrocarbon group; selected from alkyls, linear or branched, cycloalkyls or aryls, containing 1-18 carbon atoms; Z represents a bivalent binding group, including 1-18 carbon atoms; n represents an integer number, equal to 0, 1 or 2.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the composition toxicity with the preservation of resistance to untimely vulcanisation.
