FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: illumination device for a vehicle includes a housing with optical compartments, light sources placed in the optical compartments and an air pressure release valve placed in one of the optical compartments. The optical compartments are provided with internal reflecting surfaces, whose adjacent sidewalls are connected to form a partition between the optical compartments, which are covered by a common diffuser which is hermetically connected to the housing. One of the optical compartments having an air pressure release valve is further provided with a heat-resistant reflector. The reflector is in the form an inverted L-shaped cross-section, each component of which has a shape and a reflecting surface identical to the shape and the reflecting surface of the adjacent wall of the optical compartment. The reflector is mounted through a mounting part formed on one of its components, in a mounting bore for the light source of the housing of the optical compartment. One component is placed around the light source to cover the air pressure release valve and other component is directed along the upper wall of the optical compartment.
EFFECT: improved operational properties of the illumination device for a vehicle while maintaining optimum optical characteristics.
