FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be sued in arc welding and building up of metal parts. Welding material comprises metal core coated with polymer shell including distributed nanostructured particles of activating flux. Mix contains components in the following ratio in vol %: polymer - 40-93, activating flux - 3-50, carbides - 2-55, rare earth metals - 2-5. Said core is composed by metal wire or metal tape, or is composed by metal powder. Shell polymer is selected from PTFE, polyamide or polyimide. Carbide or the mid of carbides is selected from the group including: tungsten, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, niobium, hafnium, tantalum, boron and zirconium carbides.
EFFECT: better welding properties, higher density and hardness of built-up metal.
