FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the metallurgy, mainly to thermomechanical treatment of the low alloyed steels, and can be used to manufacture critical structural elements, fasteners of different purpose. Billet of steel 9XC is subjected to forging and hardening at forging temperature, then is heated for deformation to Ac1 - (5-15)°C with rate from 80 to 100 decrees/min, held at this temperature from 2 to 2.5 h, and is deformed with extension from 30 to 60%, after deformation is heated for hardening to Ac1 + (40-50)°C, and cooled in oil.

EFFECT: increased hardness, strength, fracture toughness, machining of steel, and steel manufacturing with fine structure.
