FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves equal-channel angular pressing at crossing of channels at an angle of 90° along route Bc with constant rotation about the axis to one side; at that, low-carbon steel with bainitic structure is subject to equal-channel angular pressing, and equal-channel angular pressing is performed at temperature of 300-400°C with true deformation degree of 2-4; after that, grain structure is formed by performing the annealing at temperature of 400-600°C.

EFFECT: method allows obtaining low-carbon steels with ultra fine-grain structure, optimum combination of strength, ductility and thermal stability.
